Here's everything

You need to know

Get ready for the
Southern Justice Experience!

We are thrilled to have you join us for the Southern Justice Experience. It is very meaningful to Me (Josh Clemons, Executive Director) and to the Kingdom work of OneRace to have you join us for this experience.  My prayer is that Jesus would be lifted up and we would emerge as those who “model the destination” of oneness, unity, and reconciliation.

Here are the specifics you need to know about our time together.

Objectives:

The Southern Justice Experience is an immersion in the racial plight of the Church and America. This 2-day experience is designed to engage ministry and business leaders in the OneRace transformational model: Know, Own, and Change the Story. Our prayer is that through leaning in to understand, we might champion reconciliation in our families, churches, communities, and the world.

  • Know: We will lean in to Know the Story of race and the Church’s complicity.
  • Own: We will invite participants to commit to “the hard work of Heart work” by Owning the Story.
  • Change: By giving 3 clear calls to action, we will invite participants to commit to Changing the Story for generations to come.

Additionally, this trip will facilitate intimate times of fellowship, prayer, and equipping. Our goal is to help leaders to Know the Story, which will in turn help them identify their part in Owning and Changing the Story for generations to come.

Testimonials

Several words come to mind when I think of the Southern Justice Experience (SJE): profound, impactful, transformative.
I agree with one of my friends on the trip who said, “I think it’s safe to say I learned more about the Civil Rights Movement in 36 hours than I had learned my whole life leading up to this point.” And while this is a sad commentary on my own ignorance, I’m grateful to CAP, OneRace, and the SJE for providing the opportunities and the framework to grasp this history, own the dynamics of racial injustice, and move toward personal responsibility to help make a difference now and for future generations (“Know. Own. Change.”).
